About Online Learning

Taking an online course is very easy. All you need is a computer with access to the Internet. The following describes the steps to register for a course and participate in our classes.

• First select a course you want to take by browsing the Course Catalog. After carefully reading information in the Course Detail, click on 'Add to Cart' to registration. By following the payment steps, you are registered for the class. You will receive an email confirmation shortly afterwards.

• Before the first online class starts, your email address will be added to a class list server (for example teach@unityworks.com is for our teaching class). Once you are on the list, use it to communicate with all the members of the class. Every member of the list receives messages sent to this classroom address. This will be the main means of exchange among participants during the course.

• With the first email, the course syllabus describing weekly assignments will be sent to you. What you derive from a course depends very much on how much you put into it. Although full and frank discussions are encouraged, you participate at your own pace. When or what you want to contribute is entirely up to you. This is one of the main advantages of online learning. There are no exams or papers to write in our courses.
